Children’s Party Games

Pin the tail on the donkey is not longer a childhood favorite. One of my children’s favorite birthday party games is called chug-a-lug. It’s basically the same as the college favorite but in a more family friendly version. You can use juice, soda or milk, pretty much any beverage. My children prefer soda because they enjoy the burps that erupt afterwards. Here is how you play: put the children in groups by age or by size, depending on how many children are at the party. Fill each cup, use juice boxes, or cans of soda to make sure everyone is served equally. Line up the kids side by side and give each one a drink. Once you say ‘go’, or do a countdown back from three, each kid has to drink their beverage. The first one to finish their drink wins, and of course, everyone can enjoy the burps afterwards!

Great Christmas Toys for 2010

There are so many terrific Christmas toys for 2010 it is really hard to figure out which ones to buy for your children or loved ones. You really need to think about the age of your child, what they have mentioned they want to get for Christmas, and your budget.

After all, the price range of toys is vast. You could easily spend thousands of dollars on Christmas toys if they are in the electronic department or you could spend much less if they are of the doll variety, which many kids including boys really like.

When it comes to electronic toys the game systems are obviously the top toys on the market, especially with boys. But girls are also a big player of game systems so systems like the XBox 360, Wii, and Playstation are always a good bet.

One toy that is totally different from the electronic toys are the cute little SingAMaJigs. These cute little dolls sing, chatter, and perfectly harmonize with each other. They are safe, not expensive, and the younger children absolutely love them. So if you are not in the mood to spend hundreds of dollars on expensive electronic toys then a great little toy like the SingAMaJig is something you should really check out.
